It has recently become a global problem that marine litter, especially plastic waste which is non-biodegradable in nature, has been accumulated under the sea and has made negative impacts on the marine ecology.
The distribution of solid waste in rivers and coastal areas is supposed to be surveyed in order to understand the status of marine litter in Hormozgan Province.
According to the results shown above, generally, there is not so much waste that affects natural landscapes at the surveyed location, so the problem of waste and marine litter in Hormozgan Province may not have reached a significant point yet.
According to a fishermen community in Kolahi Village of Minab, marine litter does not have any negative impact on their fishing such as catching marine litter accidentally with their fishing nets.،
